毛詩正義：國風邶風之式微（電子版）

《式微》，黎侯寓於衛，其臣勸以歸也。
疏「《式微》二章，章四句」至「勸以歸」。正義曰：
此經二章，皆臣勸以歸之辭。此及《旄丘》皆陳黎臣之辭，而在《邶風》者，蓋邶人述其意而作，亦所以刺衛君也。
寓，寄也。黎侯為狄人所逐，棄其國而寄於衛。衛處之以二邑，因安之，可以歸而不歸，故其臣勸之。
箋「黎侯」至「勸之」。正義曰：
以《旄丘》之敘，故知為狄人所逐。以經云「中露」、「泥中」，知處之以二邑。勸之云「胡不歸」，知可以歸而不歸。此被狄所逐，而云寄者，若《春秋》出奔之君，所在亦曰寄，故《左傳》曰「齊以來阝寄衛侯」是也。《喪服傳》曰：「寄公者何？失地之君也。」謂削地盡者，與此別。
黎，力兮反，國名。杜預云：「在上黨壺關縣。」「寓於」，音遇；於，又作「乎」。
式微式微，胡不歸？
式，用也。
傳「式，用」。正義曰：
《釋言》文。《左傳》曰：「榮成伯賦《式微》。」服虔云：「言君用中國之道微。」亦以「式」為「用」。此勸君歸國，以為君用中國之道微，未若君用在此微為密也。
箋云：
「式微式微」者，微乎微者也。君何不歸乎？禁君留止於此之辭。式，發聲也。
箋「式微」至「發聲」。正義曰：
「式微式微者，微乎微者也」，《釋訓》文。郭璞曰：「言至微也。以君被逐既微，又見卑賤，是至微也。」不取「式」為義，故云「發聲也」。
微君之故，胡為乎中露？
微，無也。中露，衛邑也。
傳「中露，衛邑」。正義曰：
以寄於衛所處之下，又責其不來迎我君，明非衛都，故知中露、泥中皆衛邑也。
箋云：
我若無君，何為處此乎？臣又極諫之辭。
箋「我若」至「之辭」。正義曰：
主憂臣勞，主辱臣死，固當不憚淹恤。今言我若無君，何為處此？自言己勞，以勸君歸，是極諫之辭。
疏「式微」至「中露」。
毛以為，黎之臣子責君久居於衛，言君用在此而益微。用此而益微，君何不歸乎？我等若無君在此之故，何為久處於此中露？鄭以式為發聲，言微乎微者，言君今在此皆甚至微，君何不歸乎？餘同。
式微式微，胡不歸？
微君之躬，胡為乎泥中？
泥中，衛邑也。
